Jason Head

Jason is head of operations and our agronomist at Long Vue. He is responsible for all crop management decisions and the daily logistics, and assists with grain marketing and other financial aspects. When not working you can often find Jason scouting crops with his family in tow, pretending not to be working.

Jason’s wife, Julie, is a valuable part of our “farm family” and a major asset to us. She operates their family business, Head Peach Company, where she raises more than just peaches – check her out on social media to learn more! Julie has served as a district representative on the Tennessee Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers State Committee. She also volunteers her time advocating for the ag industry and has organized many children’s educational events for Long Vue. Jason and Julie are both very active members of Mt.Carmel United Methodist Church.

Jason received his degree from the University of Tennessee Martin where he majored in Plant and Soil Science. He also earned a Master of Science in Biosystems Engineering Technology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. His accomplishments include, but are not limited to, winning the Tennessee Farm Bureau’s Environmental Stewardship Competition, and serving on the board of directors at the Montgomery Co. Farm Bureau. Jason is also a member of the Moving Forward Advisory Council, a national farm family peer group and a graduate of the KY Corn Growers’ Crop Observation & Research Education Program. Jason and Julie also competed together in the 2020 American Farm Bureau’s National Excellence in Ag Competition, where they placed third overall.
